Susan Shanti In the midwest, mid tweentieth century, a young unwed girls pregnancy was considered a shame on a whole family. In Ozark, Arkansas, this was so very true in 1967. Young Sally had a hard time focusing on her studies at college, and was more interested in a social life. She dreamed of going to Haight Ashbury in San Francisco, and what a “free” life would be like. When she turned up pregnant at age 20, her dreams were squashed, and her parents disappointed, and felt shamed by her behavior. They sent her away to stay with a cousin in Ohio, until she started showing. Attempting to hide the pregnancy from all family, she was sent to a Maternity Sanitarium in Kansas City, Missouri, called “The Willows”. It was a home for unwed mothers to live out their pregnancy secretly, and take good care of themselves in the process. The girls were encouraged to walk in the gardens in the backyard of the oversized house. They were not allowed out in public, and they assumed false names, hiding their true identity from all. Sally gave birth in August to a blonde haired, blue eyed girl. The baby was born breech, and was in perfect health. Sally was allowed to see the baby, and even named the girl “TONI”. Presumably after the father, who wanted nothing to do with the pregnancy, and even denied it could be his doing. His name was Anthony. Sally stayed for about another week, not interacting with baby further, and then went home to Ozark. The baby was adopted out 4 weeks later. A couple who had previously adopted a boy from The Willows 2 years prior, seemed like the perfect fit. Carol was a nurse pursuing her Masters in Nursing, and James a detective for the Kansas City Police Department who dabbled in fitness. They took the baby home and named her Susan Dianne……..and called her Susie. Picture perfect…..Right? Well, it would seem so. However, the darkness had already marked this couple. Three previous babies birthed to them had passed away from congenital defects. These two adopted children were answered prayers, but couldn't erase the deep pain Carol and James had masked. Jim became abusive in the first year of little Susie’s life. As time went on the abuse escalated. Until finally the couple divorced when Susie was 10. Carol helped mask the truth of what was occurring, and tried behind the scenes to support, only at times to be the receiver at the other side of anger, and judgement. Post divorce Carol worked multiple jobs teaching nursing, and working shifts at the hospital to keep the home functioning, which left little time for in person support. This is where the exploration of spirituality really began. Hi, this is Susan (Susie, Toni, Shanti) . My entry into this world was more interesting than most! When I was about 4 I remember my first conscious thought, looking out my window, at the neighbors and my family enjoying themselves while I was supposed to be in bed for the evening. This was my first AWAKENING. I knew at that moment we were all viewing our experiences, and we are simultaneously everything and nothing, a part of everything and also separate. IT has been a feeling that became deeply in bedded within me. I began my search. My search for reason, for purpose, for connection. The seeking of essence, of truth and of mission. I was awakened, and saw the world differently than most children do. I connected with nature, with music, with the night sky, with animals, with art, with trees, and with cars, boats, and planes. My meditation practice started around this time. I would routinely enjoy quiet time, allowing my mind and body to relax. This was purely instinctual, and perhaps a response to the negative environment I was exposed too. Nevertheless, from this early age I felt angels around me, protecting me. My prayer practice happened in my walk in closet, where I constantly felt surrounded by angels. I felt protected and connected to Christ Consciousness. In my teens I began exploring Astrology, Fitness, writing poetry and exploring plant medicines. Cars were a passion as was traveling. I would often stare at the night sky, staring at the stars feeling inspired by what other life might be out there, including spiritual masters. I loved the idea of going into space, moving fast, and having higher consciousness. In High School I studied Music and Art. In college I studied Art, Philosophy, Religion and Fitness. Still obsessed with speed and alternative lifestyles. After college, in my twenties. I knew I needed to be in California. I didn’t know why, I just knew I had always longed to be there. I moved to Newport Beach CA and almost immediately I met a man who channeled. A channel is someone who is a speaker for another sentient being who does not have their own physical form. The channeler moves aside and allows the consciousness of the being to come through. I was fascinated, and it was like a light turned on for me. So many things started coming together, like puzzle pieces. I began studying philosophy, metaphysics, and learning more about non-traditional spirituality, as well as continuing to study the world’s traditional religions. I dove into natural eating, vegetarianism and supplementation, along with continuing to focus on the bodies fitness. I realized I was an Empathic Intuitive. Meaning, I felt what others felt, could often understand thoughts of others, and even knew things that would happen before they happened. I was working as a professional Artist, and was blessed to have manifested work with another Artist who was down and had work we created in 120 galleries nationwide. I helped run the business, stacking orders for the year, managing employees and hand crafting our work for the Galleries. When I married at 28, I put much of this on the shelf. My husband Tim and I welcomed our first child when I was 29, and in the throws of a young marriage and motherhood, I found little time for my previous endeavors. However, I was still who I was, just minus the pursuit of study. I still pursued an “alternative life space” and felt as if I needed to be closeted for my marriage. We had two more children, and I became a movement professional to bring in extra money and to help others. In this I discovered I could feel what my clients felt in their bodies! This became a great gift in helping my clients get physical relief and resolve. I discovered I am clairesentient, adding this to my empathic, intuitive skills and Clairaudient ability But something wasn’t feeling right. After a pseudo health scare, in 2011, which it appeared like I had a stoke, yet my systems were all checked out as perfectly fine, I decided to go back to my studies. I rationalized the event as a preverbal GodSmack! I went back to my roots of meditation, quantum physics, channeling, and self awareness. While I had never abandoned them all together, it was an area I felt needed more attention. I began studying with master’s and gurus all over the world. My first certification was in Yoga Nidra in 2012, a type of guided meditation. Next I pursued Yoga Teacher Training, followed by working with Energy masters around the globe. In 2013 I offered Meditation, workshops and Conscious Coaching groups. I became Reiki Certified, and studied every possible moment. In 2013 I traveled to New Zealand for Energy Healer training which really altered the course of everything. I began to “see'“ and wonder about situations in my life not being in alignment. In 2015 I dove into TRUST and let it never in God’s hands. I took a Field of Dreams approach, “ IF you build it, they will come” And they did!in 2016 I began studi=ying Feng Shui and in 2018 I became Emotion Code Certified, a system of releasing trapped emotions stored in the body from previous experiences.. I also completed my Reiki Master and received my spiritual name “Shanti Dasjeet Kaur”. In 2019 I became a Certified Sound Healer learning Crystal Alchemy Singing Bowls and Symphonic Gong in the Kundalini Tradition, and learned Tantric Numerology. 2020 I furthered my learning gin Sound with Chloe Goodchild and again in 2023 with The Sound Healer’s Academy, with whom I have been a Mentor since 2024. I studied vocal toning and chant in 2019, and 2022, and 2025. In 202i certified in 3 schools of Feng Shui,. In 2021 I completed a Color Coaching Course with Dougal Fraser and 2022 I completed a year Master Coaching course to become IFC certified. Back to 2011, a miracle occurred. After waiting four decades, Susan and Sally were reunited. A total fluke. Susan had posted on The Willows website about her adoption years prior, and Sally had seen it and reached through email to Susan twice! Susan had not seen the email the year prior, and having lost her adopted mother in 2003, she was elated to reconnect with Sally (Sarah). Their familial ties were undeniable, but a DNA test confirmed their biology. I discovered I have two half sisters, and the story behind my conception, my travels in utero, and my birth at The Willows. I also learned about nature vs nurture. Nature truly has a plan, and nurture creates pathways in the brain. As a mother, Susan also experienced much growth. All three kids have similar abilities of empath, intuitiveness, mediumship, telekinesis, and the ability to read. Helping them navigate has been challenging as ability in today’s world sometimes looks to the modern world as "Disability". These experiences helped Susan to expand and connect further, increasing her ability to reach out for help, see all the perspectives, and release personal judgement. Teaching communication, and openness has aided in my abilities to help others in my mentoring and coaching work. Marital life proved challenging.. Building on connections and expansion, we as beings, expanded, into our light bodies, seeking greater good, understanding and forgiveness. Alas Susan and her husband grew in different directions. I drove myself deeply into my essence I had discovered early in life, and this was incompatible. The end of my marriage happened in dramatic fashion. I was led to believe things and was led down a false road. The deception nearly killed me as I began to question who I was. the darkness was an essential road to travel. It broke me wide open, and forced me to drive into reality. I had to navigate through my darkness to fully embrace my inner light. Thankfully, I had Sound. The Sound Healing truly saved me. Sound waves have a way of bringing all things to there natural state. My ego resisted, and my soul insisted on staying the course. The other saving grace was community. I have been blessed by beautiful souls who showed me true love, unconditional love. They accepted me as I am. They loved me no. matter what. I continued my expansion, my studies and explored life as a single mom. I found freedom and was growing and expanding into my light. I was learning to Love IN! All in all, it has been an gratitude experience, a multitude of perception and a solid grounding that has brought peace into this learning life. Remembering past lives and seeing akashic record has helped to shape the healer I have become. To date, I have been working with clients in healing modalities since 2004. With each day I grow and expand my own consciousness and healing further. My goal is to bring healing and consciousness to as many as possible. I work with entry level to advanced consciousness practitioners to healers. My mission employs several modalities to bring all levels of healing and consciousness to clients. Oh, back to cars. When I was a little girl I was interested in cars. As a teen a little obsessed with cars. I purchased my first muscle car when I was 17, my second when I was 20. I became Porsche focused in high school, and my friends had exotics and vintage muscle. I had my first Porsche experience in 2016, and my first Porsche in 2019. In 2024 I purchased my first 911 Carerra S. It was the third car I had purchased on my own in my entire life. The first two being the muscle cars I purchased when 17 & 20. This is my drive. My dream. My passion. Peace through stillness, sound and speed. Finding stillness in speed in the same as finding stillness in the waves of sound. There is movement and stillness, passion and joy.
